A post on Children in the Summer Park at the blog, It’s About Time, alerted me to a painting I’ve been searching for without being able to remember the artist’s name—Albert Edelfelt. Itwas this painting that first gave me the idea of sending Jeanette out to sketch Adeline’s children and their nurse in the Tuileries Garden.
All I needed for Where the Light Falls was the idea, but it’s a pleasure to add the actual image to my files and discover Edelfelt. Looking at the painting now, I can see that the various uniforms the nurses are wearing is probably a topic unto itself.
